Project Overview
F.B. from Old Bridge, NJ, decided to renovate their floors with engineered hardwood. The job covered 830 sq ft of floor space, including 14 steps with both treads and risers. Our team also installed 200 linear feet of shoe molding to complete the look. The customer chose high-quality engineered flooring from Bruce or Shaw, in a 1/2-inch thick, 3-1/4-inch oak plank, with a gunstock color, creating a beautiful and durable floor.
Engineered Hardwood Installation
The main aspect of this renovation was the installation of engineered hardwood floors. Engineered hardwood is a great choice for its durability, stability, and beautiful appearance. We used Bruce or Shaw engineered flooring, which offers the perfect combination of strength and style. The 1/2-inch thick oak planks were nailed into place, ensuring they stayed secure for years to come. The gunstock color provided a warm, rich look that complemented the home’s décor perfectly.

Steps and Risers Renovation
In addition to the main floor, we also worked on 14 steps, including both the tops and risers. The steps were covered with the same engineered hardwood, giving the stairs a polished, consistent look throughout the house. By applying the same flooring material and finish on both the main floor and stairs, we ensured a seamless transition and an elegant appearance.
Shoe Molding Installation
To complete the renovation, we installed 200 linear feet of shoe molding. Shoe molding is an essential finishing touch that adds a professional look by covering the small gap between the flooring and the baseboard. The molding also helps protect the edges of the flooring from damage while providing a neat, clean appearance.
