Project Overview
In Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, G.R. entrusted us with the task of revitalizing their 915 sq ft hardwood floors. The project focused on sanding and refinishing, specifically the tops of the floors, to restore their natural beauty without altering their color.
Sanding Process
The first step involved sanding the hardwood floors to remove any imperfections, such as scratches and wear marks. This process ensures a smooth surface, preparing the wood for the application of a new protective finish.

Refinishing with Water-Based Polyurethane
After sanding, we applied three coats of water-based polyurethane. This finish enhances the wood’s natural grain and provides a durable, protective layer. The water-based polyurethane dries quickly and is known for its low odor, making it ideal for indoor use.
Satin Finish
To achieve a subtle sheen, we chose a satin finish. This finish offers a soft, elegant appearance that complements the natural look of the hardwood while providing protection against daily wear and tear.
