Sanding and Refinishing Process
At Wood Flooring Masters, we specialize in sanding and refinishing hardwood floors to restore their natural beauty and durability. For J.Z., located in Bridgewater, NJ, we were called to work on a 600 sq ft area of Brazilian cherry hardwood flooring. The task involved sanding the floors to remove any imperfections, then refinishing them to bring out their timeless appeal. Our sanding service ensured a smooth and even surface, while our refinishing process applied oil-based polyurethane for long-lasting protection.
Repairing Brazilian Cherry Flooring
One of the main challenges in this renovation project was the need to repair two bundles of Brazilian cherry hardwood. Brazilian cherry is known for its rich, reddish-brown color and its strength, but over time, it can develop wear and tear. We carefully repaired the affected areas to blend seamlessly with the rest of the floor, restoring its stunning natural look.

Sanding and Refinishing for Long-Term Protection
For this floor renovation, J.Z. opted for a natural finish without any stain. The natural finish helped to highlight the wood’s inherent beauty while maintaining its original color. After completing the sanding repairs, we applied one coat of sealer followed by two coats of oil-based polyurethane. This oil-based polyurethane provides a durable, glossy finish that helps protect the wood against scratches, spills, and foot traffic.
Furniture Moving Service
As part of our comprehensive service, we included moving the furniture to ensure that the floors were properly sanded and refinished. This service is a valuable part of our work, as it helps save customers time and effort while ensuring no damage is done to the furniture or floors during the process.
