Hardwood Floor Renovation
Hardwood flooring in Manhattan is a popular choice for homeowners seeking elegance and durability. For our customer, J.L., we completed a full hardwood floor renovation in their 600 sq ft space. This included sanding, refinishing, and installing new hardwood flooring. The goal was to transform the space into a timeless and stylish area, and we used high-quality materials and expert craftsmanship to achieve that.
Removing Old Flooring
The first step in J.L.’s hardwood floor renovation was to remove the old flooring. We carefully took out 130 sq ft of tile and 200 sq ft of glued-down wood. These outdated materials were removed to make way for new, beautiful hardwood flooring. Removing old flooring is essential to ensure the new floor is installed on a clean, smooth surface, providing long-lasting results.

Herringbone Installation and Hardwood Selection
J.L. chose to install a stunning herringbone pattern in a 130 sq ft area. Herringbone is a popular choice because it adds a sophisticated touch to any room. For the rest of the project, we used premium hardwood flooring in 2 1/4 x 16″ planks. This hardwood was carefully selected for its beauty, durability, and ability to blend perfectly with the space’s style. With the installation of these high-quality hardwood floors, the space was set to look even more elegant and welcoming.
Baseboard Installation, Staining, and Polyurethane Coating
To complete the renovation, we installed new baseboards around the entire space. The baseboards provided a seamless, polished finish to the floors and walls. J.L. selected the stain for their hardwood flooring, which was expertly applied to match their vision. The final step was applying three coats of water-based polyurethane. This protective coating ensured that the floors would stay durable and resistant to wear and tear while keeping the beautiful finish intact.
