Precision Work with Style: The Refinishing Process

We began by sanding down the entire 400 sq. ft. surface to eliminate old finish, surface scratches, and imperfections, revealing the clean, raw wood underneath. Next came the staining phase—A.G. chose Spice Brown, a rich, contemporary tone that added immediate warmth and character to the space without overwhelming the natural charm of the Midtown East apartment.

To ensure durability and lasting beauty, we applied three coats of water-based polyurethane, which not only dries faster and emits fewer odors (a major benefit for Manhattan apartment living) but also allows the color of the stain to remain vibrant and clear.
