Project Overview
Hardwood floor renovation in Manhattan is an excellent way to revitalize your space. For G.A.’s 600 sq ft hardwood floor at 118 Waverly Pl, located near Washington Square Park, we provided sanding and refinishing services to restore the floor’s natural beauty and protect it for years to come.
Sanding and Refinishing Process
The renovation started with sanding, a crucial step to remove old finishes and imperfections. This process smoothed out the surface, allowing us to refinish the floor and maintain its natural look, with no stain or color change. The goal was to highlight the wood’s original beauty, giving G.A. a fresh, clean floor.

Protective Coating with Polyurethane
To provide durability and long-lasting protection, we applied three coats of water-based polyurethane. Water-based polyurethane is popular for its durability, quick drying time, and eco-friendliness. Additionally, two coats of Bona Traffic HD were used for enhanced protection, ideal for floors that endure heavy foot traffic.
Semi-Gloss Finish for Style
G.A. opted for a semi-gloss finish, offering a subtle shine that brings out the wood’s natural grain. The semi-gloss finish adds a polished look without being too shiny, while also making the floor easier to maintain. This finish perfectly balanced style and functionality, giving the floor a fresh, modern look.
