The project covered 600 square feet of space, where we removed the old carpet and replaced it with stunning hardwood floors. Water-Based Polyurethane for Durability
To protect the newly sanded hardwood, we applied three coats of water-based polyurethane. This type of finish is perfect for high-traffic areas, providing a durable layer that resists scratches, spills, and everyday wear. The water-based polyurethane dries quickly, has minimal odor, and helps maintain the wood’s natural beauty while adding a glossy, protective layer.
Closet Hardwood Installation and Final Touches
In addition to the main flooring, M.B. also wanted new hardwood installed in the closet. We installed unfinished hardwood and then sanded and refinished it to match the rest of the space. The closet now features the same high-quality finish, seamlessly blending with the rest of the home. Finally, a satin finish was applied to give the floors a soft, elegant sheen, adding to the overall polished look of the project.
The transformation of M.B.’s floors was complete, and the 600 square feet of beautifully refinished hardwood added both style and functionality to their Manhattan home.
