Located at the crossroads of elegance and energy, Columbus Circle in Manhattan is home to some of the city’s most exclusive hotels. For this landmark project, Wood Flooring Masters was entrusted with a major refinishing job for two luxury suites—Room 4000 and Room 3900—in a high-end hotel overlooking Central Park.

Restoring Prestige in Two Premium Hotel Suites

Spanning a combined 1,300 square feet, this dual-suite restoration project included living rooms, bedrooms, and closet areas—each requiring careful attention to detail and impeccable craftsmanship. The hotel management team sought a rich, sophisticated tone that would elevate the entire guest experience. They chose Dark Walnut stain with a satin finish to deliver warmth, contrast, and timeless elegance.

Tailored Process with High-End Products

We began by carefully sanding down each suite’s original hardwood floors, removing years of wear and ensuring a smooth surface. Our team then applied the Dark Walnut stain, achieving a deep, even tone across both the 350 sq ft living rooms and the 300 sq ft bedroom and closet spaces in each suite.

To ensure the finish would withstand hotel traffic and maintain its beauty, we sealed the floors with three coats of high-quality water-based polyurethane in a satin finish—striking the perfect balance between durability and refinement.
