Sanding and Refinishing Process
Wood Flooring Masters recently had the opportunity to transform the floors of J.T. in Philadelphia. This renovation project included 350 sq ft of flooring in the bedroom and hallway. The process began with sanding the hardwood floors to remove any old finishes, imperfections, and dirt buildup. Sanding is essential to ensure the floors are smooth and prepared for the next steps. Buffing and Polyurethane Coating
After sanding, J.T. opted for buffing and the application of polyurethane. Buffing smooths the floor surface even further, creating an ultra-smooth finish. This step ensures that the polyurethane coating adheres better to the wood, providing a strong and long-lasting protective layer. To ensure minimal dust during the renovation process, we used our super dustless services. This advanced technique significantly reduces the amount of dust created during sanding and refinishing. Not only does it protect the home from excessive dust, but it also makes the entire renovation process more efficient and clean. Dustless sanding is an important feature that many homeowners prefer, as it minimizes disruption and makes cleanup much easier.
Expanding the Project: Buffing and Polyurethane for 600 sq ft
In addition to the 350 sq ft in the bedroom and hallway, J.T. requested buffing and polyurethane application for an additional 600 sq ft of floor space. This portion of the renovation helped further enhance the durability and appearance of the floors, making the entire home look brand new. The combination of buffing and the high-quality polyurethane finish gave the floors a beautiful shine while providing long-term protection against scratches, moisture, and wear.
