B.M. recently entrusted Wood Flooring Masters with refinishing the hardwood floors of their home on Laurelwood Dr, Fisherville, Downingtown, PA. With an 877 sq ft empty house, the project offered an ideal setting for a flawless sanding and refinishing process. B.M. wanted to bring warmth and timeless elegance to the floors, selecting a rich Red Mahogany stain paired with a satin finish for a subtle yet sophisticated look.

The entire experience was smooth and professional, leaving B.M. highly satisfied with the revitalized floors that now perfectly complement the home’s inviting atmosphere.

Project Process and Products

Our approach began with meticulous sanding to remove the old finish and any surface imperfections, providing a clean slate for staining. Because the house was empty and free of furniture, we could work efficiently and with minimal disruption.

Next, the floors were treated with a deep Red Mahogany stain chosen by B.M. for its classic, warm tone that enhances the character of hardwood found in the Downingtown area. To protect and seal the surface, we applied two coats of oil-based polyurethane, selected for its durability and rich finish, ideal for homes in Fisherville. The satin finish was the perfect choice to add a gentle sheen that’s elegant without being too glossy, offering both style and practicality.

Notably, no 1/4 round molding was included, allowing the natural floor edges to speak for themselves and maintain a clean, modern look.
