Refinishing Project Overview
Refinishing project in Boyertown was the main goal of our flooring job for customer J.H. This project included 1,001 sq ft of hardwood floor sanding and refinishing, along with carpet removal in the living room and upstairs bedroom.
Once the carpet was removed, we revealed beautiful hardwood underneath. Our team at Wood Flooring Masters brought the natural charm of the floor back to life using top industry methods. The customer chose a Duraseal Rosewood stain (139), a deep and rich color that added warmth and character to the space.
Carpet Removal & Floor Sanding
Before the real magic started, we had to remove old carpet from two rooms. Carpet removal is an important first step when restoring original wood floors. It helps expose the full surface and gives us a clean base to begin sanding.
Next, we performed professional hardwood floor sanding to remove scratches, old finishes, and level out the surface. This step is key to creating a smooth and even look. Our sanding tools are dust-controlled, helping keep the home clean during the process.

Staining with Duraseal Rosewood
After sanding, we applied a high-quality Duraseal stain in Rosewood. This color is bold and beautiful, enhancing the wood’s grain without overpowering it. Choosing the right wood floor stain color is important to match the home’s style. The customer loved the richness Rosewood added to the rooms.
Duraseal is a trusted brand in the flooring world, known for long-lasting results. Staining is where the floor starts to show its true beauty.
Polyurethane Finish for Protection
To complete the project, we applied three coats of water-based polyurethane in a semi-gloss finish. This type of polyurethane is fast-drying, low-odor, and strong. A semi-gloss finish gives a soft shine that reflects light without being too glossy—great for modern and traditional homes.
This final step protects the floor from daily wear, scratches, and moisture. With the stain and finish sealed in, the floor not only looks amazing but will stay that way for years to come.
