Sanding and Refinishing
For N.F.’s project, we started with sanding, which smoothed out imperfections and old finishes, preparing the surface for further work. This step is crucial for ensuring a level and clean surface, making the floor ready for staining and refinishing. After sanding, we applied three coats of water-based polyurethane, which provided a durable and eco-friendly finish, highlighting the natural beauty of the Red Oak.
Custom Staining for the Perfect Look
The next step was staining, where N.F. selected a custom color to enhance the natural grain of the 4-inch Red Oak Number 1 NEW HARDWOOD. Staining not only adds beauty and richness to the wood but also helps protect it from future wear. The choice of stain gave the floor a unique look, perfectly complementing the overall design of the space.

Repairing Damaged Areas
As part of the project, we also handled a 15 square foot repair area. Damage to hardwood floors is common in high-traffic areas or older homes. Our skilled craftsmen carefully restored the affected section, ensuring that the repair matched the original floor. The seamless restoration was done using the same high-quality Red Oak material to maintain consistency in both appearance and durability.
