Hardwood Floor Sanding in Greenpoint
Wood Flooring Masters recently completed a hardwood floor renovation project for K.F. in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. The project covered a 150 sq. ft. area, which included sanding, staining, and refinishing. The floor had some damage, with a few boards in need of replacement. Our team carefully sanded the entire floor, removing the old finish and smoothing out any imperfections. Replacing Damaged Floorboards
As part of the renovation, we replaced several damaged 5-inch boards. These boards had visible wear and tear, and our team made sure to source the same type of wood to maintain consistency. Replacing damaged boards is an important step to ensure the floor looks seamless and restored to its original beauty. Once the boards were replaced, the entire surface was sanded down to ensure an even look throughout the floor.

To protect the newly stained floor, we applied three coats of water-based polyurethane. This type of polyurethane provides a durable, long-lasting finish that resists scratches, stains, and wear from daily use. It also dries quickly, which means less downtime for our customers. The water-based polyurethane finish created a smooth, satin-like sheen that was both stylish and practical. K.F. was thrilled with the final result, as the floor looked polished and protected.
