Sanding to Restore the Floor
For A.S.’s hardwood floor renovation in Philadelphia, our first task was sanding the 240 sq ft floor to restore its original smoothness. Over time, hardwood floors can become scratched and worn, losing their luster. Sanding helps to remove the old finish, imperfections, and surface scratches, giving the floor a fresh, clean surface. This crucial step prepares the floor for refinishing and brings back its natural beauty.
Replacing Damaged Boards
A.S.’s hardwood floor also had some damaged boards that needed replacing. As part of the renovation, we replaced the worn-out sections with new, high-quality wood that matched the existing flooring perfectly. Replacing damaged boards is essential to maintain the floor’s overall look and durability. With the new boards installed, the floor was ready to be refinished, ensuring that every part of the space looked beautiful.

Refinishing with Care
After sanding and replacing the damaged boards, we applied the refinishing treatment. Refinishing is key to bringing the hardwood floor back to life. It enhances the wood’s natural grain and color while providing a protective layer to prevent future damage. The refinishing process also involved applying a fresh coat of protective finish, which helps to seal the wood, making it more resistant to daily wear and tear.
Custom Paint Application
A.S. provided the paint for this project, allowing them to choose the exact color and finish they wanted for the floor. Custom painting allows customers to personalize their flooring even further, making sure it matches their home’s style. Once the paint was applied, the floor looked even more polished and vibrant, giving the room a completely transformed appearance.
