1) Surface Preparation

We prepare the surface to be flat, clean, and dry, assessing the subfloor for any imperfections that need correction. If needed, we repair any uneven areas to ensure proper installation. This step is crucial to prevent expansion or contraction after installation, ensuring a smooth and lasting floor. Before we start we ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level.

2) Underlayment or Moisture Barrier Installation

Lay down underlayment (foam or padding) or a moisture barrier to provide sound insulation and moisture protection, especially for laminate flooring. This optional step enhances comfort and safeguards against moisture damage.

3) Plank Layout

We begin laying the planks to the room, leaving a gap along the edges to allow for expansion and contraction of the flooring.

4) Installation (Click-and-Lock or Glue)

For Laminate Flooring: We utilize the click-and-lock method by connecting the planks at both the ends and sides. We continue installing rows, staggering the joints for stability.

For Vinyl Flooring: Adhere to the manufacturer’s guidelines, which may require clicking the planks together. If using glue-down vinyl, apply adhesive to the subfloor according to manufacturer instructions.

We ensure measure and cut the planks as necessary to fit around edges and corners for a seamless finish.

5) Edge and Expansion Gaps

We ensure to leave appropriate expansion gaps between the wall and the flooring, and finish the edges with precision for a polished look. We also ensure all planks or tiles are securely in place.

6) Baseboards and Final Touches

After installing the laminate or vinyl planks, we place transition strips at doorways and install baseboards (optional) to create a seamless look while covering any expansion gaps.
